747 Seminars remembers Civil
Rights Leader Dr. Dorothy I. Height...
Photos show Dr. Sharon M. Cadiz at the 2004 Bethune Recognition Program
in New York City where she presented Dr. Height, Chair & President
Emeritus of the National Council of Negro Women, with the Diamond Achievers
Award. In 1999, Dr. Cadiz received the Bethune Recognition Award for her
work on behalf of children youth and families. In the words of Dr. Mary
McLeod Bethune, trailblazing educator, leader and founder of the National
Council of Negro Women: "Invest in the human soul. who knows, it
might be a diamond in the rough."
We will remember Dr. Height for her tireless work in continuing the legacy
of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune who established the first school for black
children in 1904. She honored the memory of this brilliant educator, and
now we
honor and celebrate her life and work.
